    we recently discovered hdr…and with iphoto…took good photos and over and underexposed them by 2-3 stops….and with photomatix got some great results….i realize most folks use their tripods and shoot 3 pics on the dslr’s….can it be just as effective taking one pic, tweeking the exposure in iphoto ..before processing in photomatix…for a great

    Taking a single RAW shot won’t have nearly the dynamic range that you can capture with 2 or 3 different exposures — but aligning the hand-held, bracketed shots can be hit-or-miss (I’ve found mainly miss…).
