About

Howdy. I’m Matthew McEachen. I’m a Dad, a husband, and a software author. The third bit pays the best so far, but all of them are fun.

I’m the guy on the left. The other people in the photo are why I’m here.

we recently discovered hdr…and with iphoto…took good photos and over and underexposed them by 2-3 stops….and with photomatix got some great results….i realize most folks use their tripods and shoot 3 pics on the dslr’s….can it be just as effective taking one pic, tweeking the exposure in iphoto ..before processing in photomatix…for a great
    hdr result

Taking a single RAW shot won’t have nearly the dynamic range that you can capture with 2 or 3 different exposures — but aligning the hand-held, bracketed shots can be hit-or-miss (I’ve found mainly miss…).
